Frequently asked questions about SharePoint development and migration

Answers on cost, timelines, migration and support — so you know what to expect before you decide anything.

How much does a freelance SharePoint developer cost?

I work with project-based pricing and daily rates, depending on what fits your request best. After a free exploratory call you get a clear quote with timeline and exactly what is included. No surprises afterwards.

How much does it cost to migrate from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online?

That depends on your data volume and the complexity of existing custom apps. After a free assessment of your current environment you get a quote covering data validation, security mapping and the structural transition.

How long does a typical SharePoint project take?

That depends on complexity. A simple web part or automation is often done in 1-2 weeks. A migration or custom portal takes 4-8 weeks. You get a working demo every week, so you always see where we stand.

Why a freelancer instead of an agency?

You get me — no account manager, no project manager, no sales layer. Direct communication, shorter lines and no overhead driving up the price. And since I am based near Ghent, I can be on-site quickly if needed.

Do you work with small businesses or only large companies?

I mainly work with SMEs and mid-sized organisations. My approach is pragmatic: if a simple Power Automate flow or an out-of-the-box SharePoint site does the job, I will suggest that. Not every problem needs an expensive custom solution.

Do you provide support after delivery?

Absolutely. After handover you get clear documentation and a proper transfer. You can always come to me for questions, changes or extensions. I will not leave you on your own.

What do you do about slow SPFx solutions or throttling in SharePoint Online?

If a previous developer left behind messy code that stalls on API limits, I can straighten it out. I analyse, restructure and optimise existing SPFx web parts and C# integrations so your systems run smoothly again.

Can you take over existing SharePoint solutions?

Yes. I am happy to take over existing environments: I map the configuration, fix problems and extend where needed, with a clear explanation of what was changed.
